At about 9:57pm, on Friday, February 10, 2012, officers from District B-3 (Mattapan) observed a traffic violation (failure to signal when turn or stop) at the intersection of School Street and Bradlee Street.
Officers conducted a traffic stop and immediately smelled an aroma of raw marijuana emanating from the vehicle when the suspect rolled down his window. As officers requested the suspect’s license and registration, the passenger provided officers with a grinder that contained loose raw marijuana inside.
While officers waited on the suspect’s information, the suspect’s behavior was extremely nervous and erratic. The suspect was looking throughout the motor vehicle quickly and then began to reach all around in various areas.
Officers instructed the suspect cease the movement and suspect stated, “I need to find my license.” The suspect grabbed two coats from the back seat, pulled them on his lap and was keeping his hands from officers’ view.
Officers could hear Boston Police Operations broadcasting coming from inside the motor vehicle as well. Officers requested the suspect to remove his hands from under the coats and the suspect refused and stated, “Looking for the license.”
Officers fearing the suspect may be in possession of a weapon, requested the suspect to exit the motor vehicle. Officers performed a pat frisk of the suspect and the coats. Officers observed a knife on the suspect’s waistband and brass knuckles inside the coat pocket. Officers also frisked the area where suspect was seated and observed a clear plastic bag. The plastic bag contained nine smaller plastic bags of marijuana. The suspect immediately took ownership of the marijuana and stated, “I have a few bags in there.”
The male suspect, Dexter Winnie, 22, of Dorchester, was arrested for Dangerous Weapon Unlawfully Carried, Distribution of Class D with Intent Within 1000’ School Zone and was issued a citation for Failure to Signal When Turn or Stop.
Officers also seized the suspect’s cell phone that had a police scanner application in use.
]]>On arrival, officers spoke with the owner of the bar who stated the suspect presented five counterfeit twenty-dollar bills for services at the bar. Officers observed all five of the counterfeit bills with the same serial number. A counterfeit bill marker was utilized and it revealed the bills were counterfeit.
Officers observed the suspect who was still sitting at the bar. The owner stated to officer, the suspect had requested (1) one-hundred dollar bill from the bartender in change.
The female suspect, Danette Lewis, 23, of Beverly, was arrested for Possession of Counterfeit Notes and Uttering or Publishing False Writings.
]]>On arrival, officers spoke with an employee from the store, who stated he was robbed at gun point. The employee stated the suspect entered the store, displayed a firearm and demanded all the money from the register. The employee stated the suspect went around the counter and struggled with the employee. The employee was knocked to the ground and suspect took an undetermined amount of money from the register.
The employee did suffer from a minor injury, but declined any further medical treatment.
Officers were advised the suspect is described as a white male, mid 20s 6’feet tall, thin build, and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. The employee stated to officers the suspect fled the area in a black Ford Ranger Pick-up Truck (unknown registration).
A search of the area for the suspect and the motor vehicle was unsuccessful.

]]>On arrival, officers were informed, the fight resulted in a person being stabbed. Officers observed the male, in his twenties, who was suffering from what appeared to be a stab wound. The individual was transported to New England Medical Center.
Witnesses on scene, stated to officers there was a large fight involving suspect #1 being assaulted. Officers were informed that suspect #1 pulled out a knife and stabbed the individual. Officers broadcasted the direction of flight and a description of suspect#1 and a description of the suspect #1.
After speaking with the witnesses, officers determined that the individual suffering from stab wounds as well as suspect #2, and suspect #3, were involved in a fight with suspect #1. Officers were advised suspect #1 was punched and kicked with shod foot by the individual suffering from stab wounds, suspect #2 and Suspect #3.
While leaving District A-1, an officer on his way to perform a detail, observed suspect #1 walking on Friend Street with an additional person. The officer broadcast the information and was assisted by additional officers. Officers approached the suspects and during handcuffing, for officers safety, observed suspect #4, discard a knife. Officer retrieved the knife and assisted in placing the suspects under arrest.
The male suspect #1, Tad Helin, 20, of Boston, was arrested for Assault with Intent to Murder. The male suspect #2, Shawn Cagnina, 19, of Boston was arrested for Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon. The female suspect #3, Kayla Zadrowski, 23, of Lawrence, was arrested for Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon. The male suspect #4, Jesus Rodriguez, 30, of Boston, was arrested for Possession of a Dangerous Weapon.
Due to his injuries, the victim of the stabbing was summonsed for Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon (Shod Foot).

On November 14, 2011, at approximately 9:16am, officers responded to 50 Harlem Street in Dorchester for a report of persons shot. On arrival officers located two female victims suffering from fatal gunshot wounds. The victims were identified as 21 year old Stephanie Emile and 23 year old Judith Emile.
As a result of an ongoing investigation by members of the Boston Police Homicide Unit and prosecutors from the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office suspect Janvier has been identified as the person responsible for the homicide of Stephanie and Judith Emile. This investigation has included numerous interviews, along with the recovery of forensic evidence, which ultimately led to the issuance of an arrest warrant for Janvier.

]]>Officers knocked on the apartment door for a while before the suspect opened the door. Officers advised the suspect to turn down the music due to the multiple 911 calls. The suspect stated, “I’m not turning anything down!” Officers advised the suspect the music was loud and suspect replied, “I’m not turning it down.”
While officers were speaking with the suspect, neighbors came out of their apartments to speak with officers. The neighbors stated to officers, “This goes on every day and we can never get any rest!” The neighbors further stated, “Please do something about this.” Officers advised the suspect to keep the music down and be respectful of the neighbors. The suspect’s response to officers was, “I’ll be turning it back up officers.” Officers advised the suspect such behavior would constitute disturbance of the peace if the music was unreasonable. The suspect stated, “OK!’
As officers were leaving the property, the suspect turned his music up louder than it was previously. The suspect stated to officers, “Sorry” for disturbing the neighbors, but he needs to, “practice mixing music.”
The male suspect, Juergen Lippert, 22, of Brighton, was arrested for Disturbing the Peace.
