Police Investigate Stabbing in the Area of 275 Tremont Street
At about, 1:44 AM, Friday, May 03, 2013, officers from district A-1 (Downtown) responded to a radio call for a person stabbed in the area of 275 Tremont Street (Underbar), Boston.
On arrival, officers spoke with security staff who stated victim #1, a bouncer, had been stabbed and transported himself to Tufts Medical Center.
Victim #1 stated he witnessed 2 to 3 males fighting. As he attempted to stop the altercation, the victim felt a pain in his arm. Victim #1 described suspect #1 as a black male, approximately 20 to 30 years old, wearing a yellow shirt and tall and suspect #2 as a black male, approximately 20 to 30 years old, wearing a plaid shirt. Victim #1 was suffering from stab wounds to his arm and stomach.
While on scene, officers observed victim #2 passing by, holding his side. The victim stated he had been stabbed by unknown suspects. Officers were also notified a third victim was located at Tufts Medical Center. Victim #3 stated an unknown male started yelling then stabbed him several times in the face, arm, chest and back.
The Boston Police Department is actively investigating facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is asked to call District A-1 (Downtown) detectives at 617-343-4248.

Police Investigate Death Investigation in the Area of 41 Prentiss Street
At about 12:43 AM, Friday, May 03, 2013, officers from district B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a person shot in the area of 41 Prentiss Street, Roxbury.
On arrival, officers observed victim #1 on the living room floor suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. EMS pronounced victim #1 deceased on scene. Victim #2 appeared to be suffering from gunshot wound to the wrist therefore transported to Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
Homicide detectives are actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is encouraged to call detectives at (617) 343-4470.

Katie Couric to Honor Boston’s First Responders!!!
On an upcoming episode of the Katie Couric show, scheduled to air in mid-May, Katie welcomes and acknowledges members of the BPD, BFD and Boston’s EMS for their heroic response during the attack on the Boston Marathon. Members of the BPD were invited to be guests of the studio audience. Said one of our officers, “It was nice to be invited. The 2013 Police & State Trooper exam will now be held on Saturday, June 15, 2013.
Due to the re-scheduling of the exam, if the new date poses a hardship, you must email the Civil Service Unit at [email protected] with an explanation and supporting documentation and our office will review the request.
We have made several changes to test locations and you should disregard any prior Notice to Appear that was emailed to you.
Please be advised that your new Notices to Appear will be emailed two weeks prior to the exam date, which will include your exam location and time. It will also contain information on what items are allowed OR prohibited from the exam site.

House of Cards Star Kevin Spacey Consoles Boston’s Finest by Stopping by District D-4
Saying he was compelled to travel to Boston to console and offer whatever level of comfort he could, actor Kevin Spacey stopped by District D-4 (South End) to visit the officers he says he watched running, with no regard for their own safety, towards the hurt and injured immediately after the bombs went off. Many of the officers assigned to District D-4 (South End) were assigned posts in and around the finish line on Marathon Monday. Said one officer who requested anonymity, “It was great to see and meet Kevin Spacey. There’s no doubt a lot of our men and women are hurting right now and it meant a lot to see a well-known face like his stop by to say thank you. He couldn’t have been nicer and his decision to visit meant a lot.” Spacey is pictured with Captain Paul Ivens and the men and women of District D-4 in the above photo.Boston Police Investigate Shooting in the Area of 3 Brook Street
At about, 09:07 AM on Monday, April 29, 2013, officers from district E-18 (Hyde Park) responded to a radio call for a person shot at 3 Brook Street, Roslindale.
On arrival, officers observed a male victim slumped on the floor, who appeared to be suffering from a gun shot wound. Witnesses told officers they heard a dispute over money owed. Officers were also told the suspect had come to the residence several times looking for the victim when he was not home.
After the shooting, witnesses said the suspect fled on foot. The suspect later turned himself into police.
Conrad Blake, 35, of Dorchester is charged with two counts of Assault with the Intent to Murder.

Police Investigate Death Investigation in the Area of 75 Wayland Street
At about, 7:52 PM, Sunday, April 28, 2013, officers from district B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a person shot in the area of 75 Wayland Street.
On arrival, officers spoke to Security Officers who stated they were on Fayston Street when they heard approximately six gun shots. The Security Officers responded to the area of Quincy Street and Wayland Street and observed a purple PT Cruiser, speeding from the scene onto Howard Avenue. They then discovered victim who appeared to be suffering from gun shot wounds on the ground at the corner of Howard Ave and Quincy Street. Officers canvassed the area to no avail. The victim was transported to Boston Medical Center and has since been pronounced deceased. The victim has been identified as Malcolm Campbell, 23, of South Boston.
