Honoring Our Fallen Officer
On Saturday, April 20, 2013, at 6:30 pm officers from the Boston Police Department will escort and pay tribute to fallen MIT Police Officer Sean Collier. To show our respect and to honor our fallen brother Boston Police will stand at attention on Albany Street from East Canton Street to the Expressway. May you rest in peace Officer Collier.
Media Advisory: Media Staging at 550 Arsenal Street in Watertown
Media Advisory: So as not to interfere with police actions in Watertown a media staging has been set up at 550 Arsenal Street in Watertown (Target parking lot). Media should proceed to the location at once.
PUBLIC SAFETY ADVISORY FOR RESIDENTS OF WATERTOWN:
Residents of Watertown asked to stay indoors. Large number of police officers in the area. Do not answer door unless instructed by a police officer.
Media Advisory: Final Update Relative to Authorized Parking for Media Outlets
The BPD has designated the Boston Common as the authorized location for media parking in the city of Boston. The parking location can be accessed at the intersection of Charles and Beacon Streets. Upon reaching said intersection, media vehicles should take a right onto the sidewalk and into the designated parking area. Vehicles not parked in the designated location will be directed to move so as to be in compliance with parking regulations.Please Note: Live trucks or other authorized media vehicles utilizing the designated parking area should place a placard or some sort of identifying mark (complete with the media outlet’s name and contact information) on the front dashboard of any vehicle parked in the designated area. Personal vehicles will not be allowed to park in the designated areas.

FBI Seeking Public’s Help in Efforts to Locate and Identify Individuals Wanted in Connection to Monday’s Marathon Bombing – PHOTOS RELEASED
The FBI is releasing the enclosed photos in hopes of identifying the individuals wanted in connection to Monday’s Marathon bombings. Anyone with any information relative to these individuals and their whereabouts is strongly encouraged to share that information with local, state and federal authorities.Community members seeking to assist this investigation can do so by forwarding all investigative leads to the FBI.

Street Access Update
As of 3 PM on Wednesday, Belvidere Street and Dalton Street will be opened to the public. This will allow access to the hotels in the area. Also, Boylston Street will be opened between Massachusetts Avenue and Hereford. Hereford will also be open. Clarendon Street will continue to be open across Boylston but no turns will be allowed on to Boylston.
UPDATE: Media Advisory Relative to Authorized Parking Locations for Media Outlets
Although some city streets have been re-opened, the parking restrictions as they relate to media outlets and their vehicles remain in place. The BPD has designated specific parking locations for media outlets and is reminding media personnel to utilize those locations to park live trucks or other authorized vehicles. Those locations are as follows:
• Arlington St between Beacon & Boylston Streets
• Boylston St between Arlington & Charles Street
• Charles St between Boylston & Beacon Streets
• The median strip along Commonwealth Ave running between Arlington & Gloucester
Please Note: Live trucks or any vehicles associated with media outlets that are presently parked on the median that runs along Commonwealth Ave should adhere to the following conditions:
• A placard or some sort of identifying mark should be placed on the front dashboard of any vehicle parked along the median. Personal cars will not be permitted to park on the median.
• Vehicles should not park on the pedestrian pathway which runs through the middle of Commonwealth Ave median. Vehicles impeding or interrupting the flow of pedestrian traffic shall be removed.
• Vehicles not parked in the designated locations listed above will be directed to move so as to be in compliance with parking regulations mentioned above.
• Lastly, reporters impeding or interrupting the flow of vehicular traffic will be instructed to remove themselves from city streets.
