Death Investigation in the area of 100 Meridian Street in East Boston
This evening, Saturday, December 24, 2011 around 5:39PM, officers from District A-7 (East Boston) responded to the area of 100 Meridian Street in East Boston for a man down.
On arrival, officers located a Hispanic male in his early twenties suffering from an apparent stab wound. The victim was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital where he was pronounced a short time later.

At about 10:08am, on Saturday, December 3, 2011, officers from District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) responded to 8 Wardman Road in Roxbury for an unknown. On arrival, officers entered an apartment where they located an unresponsive 60 year old female who was pronounced on the scene by EMS.

Victim from 50 Fairlawn Avenue in Mattapan Identified
At about 3:02pm, on Monday, November 21, 2011, officers from District E-18 (Hyde Park) responded to 50 Fairlawn Ave. in Mattapan for an unknown. On arrival, officers entered an apartment where they located an unresponsive 34 year old female who was pronounced on the scene by EMS. The victim has now been identified as 34 year old Rosanna Camilo.
Detectives initially deemed the circumstances of the victim’s death to be suspicious but have now determined the manner of death to be a homicide based on the results of the autopsy. Online Sting Nets Three Suspects for Enticing Minors
In an ongoing effort to combat Human Trafficking and its deleterious effects, the Boston Police Family Justice’s Human Trafficking Unit recently undertook an effort to catch and prosecute individuals engaged in luring minors into sexual activity online. The Boston Police Human Trafficking Unit is committed to ending exploitation of young women and will continue to be proactive in doing this by continuously seeking various ways to address this issue.
Yesterday afternoon around 3:18PM, officers and detectives from the Family Justice Unit, Human Trafficking Division in cooperation with officers and detectives from the Youth Violence Strike Force (Gang Unit) arrested suspects, Daniel Klim, 38 of Cambridge, John Nguyen, 24 of Randolph and John Caputo, 63 of South Boston and charged them with Solicitation: Sex for a Fee and Enticing a Minor as a result of an undercover online investigation.
The above suspects came to be arrested as a result of an undercover investigation during which officers posed as 15 year old girl. The suspects, after making contact with officers posing as a 15 year girl, knowingly agreed to meet with the alleged 15 year old with the intent of engaging in various sexual activities. The suspects made contact with the undercover officers posing as a15 year old girl set up a time and place to meet.
Officers established surveillance after getting identifying information about the suspects and once they arrived at the meeting location were stopped and placed under arrest.
Boston Police Identify Suspect in Early Morning Roxbury Fire
Arson Investigation Continues
Early this morning around 12:48AM, officers from District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) responded to 71 Westminster Ave. in Roxbury for an explosion/fire.
On arrival, officers observed the building fully engulfed with Boston Fire on scene along with EMS. The explosion/fire affected approximately 20 plus apartments but all the occupants of the building were evacuated successfully.
While on scene, officers were notified that an individual later identified as suspect, Mohamed Abdul Jabar, 28 of Medford had self-applied to BMC and was then transferred to the burn unit at MGH. The suspect is currently being treated in intensive care with 2nd degree burns to his arms, hands and face. His injuries are non-life threatening.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the fire was the result of a failed suicide attempt by the suspect. It also appears that he does not live at that location but may have been in a relative’s apartment.
The suspect is expected to face a host of charges of Arson and Attempted Murder.
DEATH INVESTIGATION AT 39 DEARBORN STREET- VICTIM IDENTIFIED
At about 10:16pm, on Monday, October 3, 2011, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a call for shots fired in the area of 39 Dearborn Street in Roxbury.
On arrival, officers located a female victim in her early twenties suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Boston Medical Center suffering from life threatening injuries where she remained until today when she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced. The victim has been identified as Paula Jacobs, 23, of Boston.

Death Investigation in the Area of 40 Kensington Park, Roxbury
Last night, October 5, 2011 around 9:09PM, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to 40 Kensington Park for a person shot.
On arrival, officers found two victims, both black males one in his mid thirties and the other in his mid forties, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds outside the above location. The victim in his mid forties was pronounced on scene while the second victim in his mid thirties was transported to Boston Medical center via ambulance in critical condition.

UPDATE MISSING PERSON: 14 Year Old Missing Teeen Has Been Found and Is Back in the Custody of Her Mother
Boston Police Is Seeking the Public’s Help to Locate a Missing Teenage Girl
On October 3, 2011 around 9:14PM, officers from District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a radio call for a missing person.
On arrival, officers spoke to the mother of the missing teenage girl. The mother reported that her daughter, 14 year-old Michelle DeVaughn left the house around 6PM to go get some pizza and has not returned. To date, the victim has not returned nor has she made contact with her mother or authorities.
