Police Investigating Shooting Leaving One Dead and One in Critical Condition in Dorchester

gun+tapeAt about 6:34 PM, Saturday March 9, 2013, officers from district C-11(Dorchester) and district B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a person shot in the area of Columbia Road between Washington Street and Hancock Street, Dorchester.

Officers were advised the victim was operating a grey Toyota Corolla. On arrival, officers and EMS found the motor vehicle on Columbia Road at Hancock Street. Officers found two male victims in the motor vehicle both suffering apparent gunshot wounds. One of the victims was pronounced deceased on the scene. The other male victim was transported to Boston Medical Center for further treatment.

The Boston Police Homicide Unit continues to actively investigate the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Homicide Unit at (617) 343.4470.
