Boston Police Investigate Armed Robbery of Controlled Substances from a Pharmacy in Brighton
At about 1:14pm on Tuesday, March 3, 2013 officers from District 14 (Brighton) responded to an armed robbery in progress at 1690 Commonwealth Ave, Brighton (Sutherland Pharmacy).
Officers spoke with a female victim who described the suspect as a white male, 6’3”, 30-35 years old, wearing a dark sweatshirt with plaid material on the collar area, light gray eyes, facial hair and a white surgical mask on his face. The female victim told officers the suspect walked inside the store and yelled “Everyone get on the floor right now!” The victim further stated the suspect had a silver firearm, approached her at the pharmacy counter and continued to yell “Get me the Xanax and the Klonopin!!”. The victim stated she was in fear of her life so she ran to the safe and gave him all of the prescription drugs, he demanded. The victim stated that after she handed the suspect the drugs he immediately ran out of the store and took a right in the direction of Wilson Park.
Officers immediately set up a perimeter and searched for the suspect to no avail.
