Officers were informed by dispatch prior to arrival that the building’s fire alarm was activated and there was a male intruder in the building.

Upon arrival officers observed Boston Fire Department personnel responding for the activated fire alarm along with multiple elderly and special needs residents outside their doorways. Officers spoke with witnesses who stated a non- resident homeless male in the second floor garbage room forced his way past them and pulled the fire alarm. The witnesses stated it was the second time this evening the fire alarm was activated.

Officers approached the suspect who stated he was let into the building by a “friend” but did not know his name or his apartment number. The suspect had a strong scent of alcoholic beverage emanating from his person and appeared to be intoxicated.

Roy Tucker, 55, of Boston was arrested and charged with Trespassing, False Fire Alarm, and Disturbing the Peace.
