Police Investigate Robbery and Biting of Victim in Charlestown

At about 1:10pm on Tuesday, February 19, 2013, a female reported at District A-15 (Charlestown) she was a victim of an assault and battery in the area of Green and High Streets.

The 27 year old female victim informed officers she was walking down Green Street near High Street when two white males asked her for a cigarette. The victim stated she was about to give them a cigarette when suspect #1 described as white male, about 5’5″, thin build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and jeans, grabbed her cell phone, wallet and Walgreens bag from her hands, then bit her left arm. The victim further informed officers that a second male suspect described as a white male, 5’5″, thin build, dark hair, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and baggy jeans yelled “Just grab the cell phone!”

A witness in the area attempted to grab the suspects to no avail. Both suspects fled the area on foot.
Officers observed what appeared to be a bite mark and scratches on the victim’s left arm.

The Boston Police Department is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is asked to call A-1 detectives at (617) 343-4248.
