Boston Police Respond to a Motor Vehicle Accident with Two Injuries in Roxbury
At about 7:50am Monday, February 4, 2013 Officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a call of pedestrians struck in the area of 55 Malcolm X Blvd.
On arrival officers located an unoccupied motor vehicle with its engine running and two unidentified teenage female victims lying on the ground. Victim #1 was transported to Boston Medical Center and victim #2 was transported to Children’s Hospital for treatment of their non- life threatening injuries.
Officers spoke with a male, 17 of Roxbury, who stated he was the operator of the motor vehicle that struck the victims. He further explained while he was driving along Malcolm X Blvd he was blinded and could not see what was in front of him due to the strong glare of the sun. Witnesses at the scene gave similar statements regarding the accident. Officers too observed a blinding glare as they looked towards Dudley Square.
Police have not issued any citations at this time.
