‘Hide and Seek’ Boston Police E-13 Safe Street Team Seize a Firearm During Building Search
At about 9:39pm on February 1, 2013, officers assigned to the District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) Safe Street Team conducted an investigate premise call in the area of 934 Parker Street-The Bromley Heath Housing Development.
While conducting one of the building checks officers observed what appeared to be an unusual opening in one of the hallway walls of 934 Parker Street. The opening was approximately 6 feet from the floor and above the hand rail located in the hallway. Upon closer investigation officers observed a brown handle that appeared to be protruding from the interior of the opening. Officers examined the handle closer identifying it to be the handle of a black firearm. Officers recovered a Rohm Model RG 40 .38 Special Revolver as well as a plastic bag of several rounds of ammunition.
The firearm and the ammunition were seized as evidence. No suspects have been identified.
