Boston Police Arrest One Adult and Four Juveniles for Armed Robbery in Dorchester

At about 4:12pm on Sunday January 27, 2013, officers from District 11 (Dorchester) responded to the area of Dayton Street and Nixon Street for a robbery in progress.

Officers were informed by victims they were robbed at knifepoint by a group of 5 to 6 black male suspects who fled on Melville Avenue towards Waldeck Street. Officers canvassed the area and observed a group of four possible suspects.

Upon approaching the suspects officers observed the handle of a knife protruding from the left jeans pocket of one of the suspects (later identified as a 14 year old juvenile). The male juvenile suspect attempted to grab the knife from his pocket, at which time a violent struggle ensued between the suspect and the officers. Officers subsequently recovered a black handle folding knife from the suspect’s pants pocket which was seized as evidence.

Officers quickly apprehended three additional suspects who were later positively identified by the victims. Also recovered were an I Pad, a wallet, a camera and other personal items belongings to the victims.

A female suspect Alexis Bourne, 17, of Dorchester was arrested for Armed Assault and Battery and Buying, Receiving or Concealing Stolen Goods. Two male suspects both 15 years old and a 14 year old male suspect were arrested for Delinquent to wit: Armed Robbery and Delinquent to wit: Assault and Battery.
