Boston Police Investigate Early Morning Shooting in area of 6 Arbutus Street in Dorchester
At about 10:16am, on Sunday, January 20, 2013, officers from District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to an inside scene for a person shot at 6 Arbutus Street. On arrival, officers located a female victim, believed to be in her early twenties, suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. The victim, suffering from life threatening injuries, was transported to the Boston Medical Center.
During the course of the investigation, detectives arrested Jeremy Harrison, 28, of Boston and charged him with the Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Failure to Properly Secure a Firearm with a Minor Present.
Detectives from District B-3 (Mattapan) and the Homicide Unit are actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident and additional charges could be pending.
