Police Investigate Breaking and Entering and Stolen Rifle in Roxbury

At about 9:50pm on Thursday, January 17, 2013, officers from District-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for breaking and entering in the area of 157 Intervale Street.

On arrival officers spoke with a male victim who stated when he returned home he noticed the front door was unlocked but closed. He then found his TV, Xbox, Playstation, video games, Sony camera, and (AR15) rifle were stolen. He stated that his shotgun was hidden between the mattress of his bed and his Beretta (handgun) was in his bedroom drawer. Officers seized a Beretta FS92, Mossberg 500 and assorted ammunition from the victim. The victim did have a valid FID card but was not in compliance with Massachusetts General Laws with regards to Firearm Storage.

The Boston Police Department is actively investigating facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is asked to call District B-2 (Roxbury) detectives at 617-343-4275.
