Update: Police Arrest Suspect in Shooting Death of Shawn Taylor
At about 7:47pm, on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, members of the Boston Police Fugitive Unit, along with officers assigned to District B-2(Roxbury) and Mobile Operations arrested Andrew Britt, 18, Dorchester, who is charged in the shooting death of Shawn Taylor. Andrew Britt was arrested for Murder, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm without FID.
The facts and circumstances surrounding the incident are as follows:
At about 1:20am, on Tuesday, December 11, 2012, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a call for a person shot at 37 Copeland Street. On arrival, officers located a 28 year-old male victim inside an apartment suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced on the scene. The victim has since been identified as Shawn Taylor, 28, of Boston.
Britt is expected to be arraigned today at Roxbury District Court.
