Call for Shots Fired Enables Police to Arrest One for Gun Possession on District B-2 (Roxbury)

At about 12:18pm, on Saturday, January 12. 2013, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to an inside scene for a person shot at 11 Abbottsford Street in Roxbury. On arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the foot. Victim was transported to the Boston Medical Center where he received treatment for non-life threatening injuries. While on scene, officers learned that individual seen exiting the location was in possession of a firearm. Upon locating the suspect, officers were able to see and seize a firearm.

Officers arrested Taylor Nelson, 20, of Boston and charged him with the Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. Additional charges could be pending.
