Search of a Home in Dorchester Enables Police to Arrest Two for Drug Trafficking and Seize Nine Firearms Including an AK-47

At about 9:15am, on Tuesday, January 8, 2013, members of the Youth Violence Strike Force in collaboration with the Boston Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms and the Citywide Drug Control Unit executed a search warrant issued out Dorchester District Court allowing for the search of 12 Rill Street in Dorchester. Upon entering the location, officers observed several improperly stored and secured firearms including an AK-47 and a shotgun. Both guns, along with seven others, were located and seized by officers. Officers also located and seized over a thousand rounds of ammunition.

Additionally, officers located and seized approximately 250 grams of a Class B Drug (cocaine). Officers noted and observed that the seized drugs were packaged in a manner consistent with the sale and distribution of illegal narcotics. Officers also located and seized a digital scale and various drug paraphernalia including plastic bags of varying sizes.

Officers arrested Estuardo Castillo-Guzman, 43, of Dorchester and charged him with the Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Trafficking Class B Drugs (cocaine).

Officers arrested Amilcar Castillo, 45, of Dorchester and charged him with Trafficking Class B Drugs (cocaine).
