Boston Police Clamp Down on Biting Suspect
On January 3, 2013 at approximately 7:27am officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a robbery in progress at 333 King Blvd (Save A Lot). Upon arrival officers observed two males fighting on the ground in the hallway in front of the Save A Lot Store.
Officers separated the two males and observed a large amount of blood coming from the mouth of one of the men (later identified as Anthony L. Landrum).
A second 71 year old male (the victim) was holding money in his hand and was covered in blood. The victim stated he was trying to deposit his cash into the Sovereign Bank ATM machine when Landrum, who was lying on the floor, jumped up and attempted to grab the cash while yelling “that’s my money!” The suspect then proceeded to bite the victim’s fingers in an attempt to grab the cash.
The victim was transported to Boston Medical Center for his injuries and suspect Anthony L. Landrum, 47, of Boston was treated by EMS on scene and then arrested for Unarmed Robbery, Assault and Battery and Assault and Battery, Victim over 65.
