Safety Tips for First Night 2013

Boston Police offer the following safety tips for those attending First Night 2013:

Dress in layers- it’s cold and the temperature is expected to drop after sundown
Keep a close eye on small children- streets become quite crowded especially during the parade
Make a plan in case you get separated from your group- have phone numbers and a meeting place
Alcohol is not allowed – and could get you arrested
Street closures and parking bans are in effect- use public transportation
