WANTED: Juan Garcia, 28, of Mattapan
The Boston Police Department is seeking the public’s help in their efforts to locate Juan Garcia. Garcia is wanted for Custodial Kidnapping, Child Endangerment, Aggravated Assault & Battery and Threats to Kill.
On December 16, 2012, a victim walked into District B-3 (Mattapan) to report that Juan Garcia (her ex-boyfriend and father of her child) refused to surrender their six month old son. The victim states that she dropped the child off at the suspect’s home so that the child could spend time with his father, but, when she returned to the suspect’s house to retrieve her son, the suspect refused to surrender the child. Moreover, the victim states that the suspect physically assaulted her with punches and kicks and stated, “I will kill you before I give the child back.”
Officers observed swelling and redness around the victim’s face. The victim was transported to the Carney Hospital where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries. Officers were dispatched to the suspect’s home address where a search for the suspect and the child proved unsuccessful. However, the child has since been reunited with his mother but the search for the suspect continues.
