Boston School Police Arrest Student for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm

At about 8:30am, on Monday, December 10, 2012, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a call for a firearm found on a male student at the Jeremiah Burke High School. On arrival, officers spoke to members of the Boston School Police who stated  an unloaded firearm was found on a student during an administrative search relative to a stolen cell phone. The unloaded firearm was found in the student’s school bag. Additionally, a search of the student enabled officers to see and seize several rounds of ammunition.

The student, a 16 year-old male, was arrested and charged with the Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and the Unlawful Possession of Ammunition.
