Update: Police Arrest Suspect in Bower Street Murder

On November 28, 2012,  members of the Boston Police Fugitive Unit arrested Rashawn Clark, 17, of Boston for the shooting death of Andre Matthew at 48 Bower Street. Clark is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.

The facts and circumstances of the shooting are as follows:

At about 4:26pm, on Monday, October 1, 2012, officers from B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a call for a person shot at 46 Bower Street.

On arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. The victim, Andre Matthew, 17, of Boston, was suffering from life a threatening injury and transported to Boston Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
