Today’s Free Aerosmith Concert on Comm Ave Anything But the Same Old Song & Dance

At about 12:15pm, Monday, November 5, 2012, one of Boston’s most beloved rock-n-roll bands returned to Beantown to honor the place where they once lived and the city where their road to rock-n-roll stardom literally began.
Thousands of well-behaved fans flocked to Brighton and lined the area in and around 1365 Commonwealth Ave, the same building the band called home in seventies, to hear and see a free live performance by Steve Tyler, Joe Perry, Joey Kramer and the rest of the band.
The band used the live performance to promote its new album Live From Another Dimension.
Despite several inconveniences surrounding the planning and execution of a live concert including disruptions to public transportation, road closures and parking bans, the show went off without any major issues or public safety concerns.
Said Boston Police Superintendent-in-Chief Dan Linskey, “Everything was fantastic especially the crowd. The logistics worked out well, the fans were well behaved and it looked like everybody really enjoyed the show.”
No arrests were made during the concert.
