Second Update: Another Suspect Arrested in the Deadly Shooting on Lyndhurst Street in Dorchester

Early this morning, November 5, 2012 the Fugitive Unit arrested Reginald Holley, 22, of Dorchester for the shooting death of Alfonso Rivas.  Rivas was shot and killed in his apartment  at 14 Lyndhurst St. on 10/17/12.  Another man, Oasis Pritchett was arrested on 10/31/12 and is also charged in the case.

The facts of the incident are as follows:  At approximatey 11:05am, on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for a person shot at 14 Lyndhurst Street. On arrival, officers located a 23 year old Alfonso Rivas suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Boston Medical Center with life threatening injures where he was later pronounced deceased.

On Wednesday October 31, 2012 at approximately 12:15pm members of the Boston Police Homicide Unit arrested Oasis Pritchett, 22, of Roxbury. Pritchett was charged with Murder, Armed Robbery and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.

Holley arrested in South Boston, will be arraigned today in Dorchester District Court.
