Urban Shield is in full swing
The Urban Shield – the simulated public safety exercise – is active and ongoing for the next 24 hours starting at 8:00am this Saturday through Sunday at 8:00am. Residents in the area of the exercises may hear simulated gunfire and observe officers responding to simulated emergencies. Simulated scenarios will be run multiple times over the course of the 24 hour period. Organizers urge and remind residents not to be alarmed. There is no danger to anyone in the area and exercises will be conducted in cordoned-off areas away from the public.
