Boston Police Investigate Pedestrian Hit and Run Accident in area of 1426 Commonwealth Ave

At about 4:23pm, on Wednesday, October 31, 2012, officers from District D-14 (Brighton) responded to a radio call for a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle in the area of 1426 Commonwealth Ave. On arrival, officers located and observed a white female lying in the street suffering from extensive trauma to her legs. According to the victim, she was walking across Commonwealth Ave, going from the even side to the odd, when she was struck by a car. Officers spoke to several witnesses who observed the accident. According to the witnesses, a white motor vehicle, possibly an SUV, struck the victim and failed to stop.

The victim, suffering from non-life threatening injuries, was transported to the Brigham & Women’s Hospital where she was treated for her injuries.
