Update: Arrest for Fatal Shooting in the Area of 14 Lyndhurst Street

At approximatey 11:05am, on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for a person shot at 14 Lyndhurst Street. On arrival, officers located a 23 year old Alfonso Rivas suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Boston Medical Center with life threatening injures where he was later pronounced deceased.

On Wednesday October 31, 2012 at approximately 12:15pm members of the Boston Police Homicide Unit arrested Oasis Pritchett, 22, of Roxbury. Pritchett will be charged with Murder, Armed Robbery and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. He will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
