Community Alert/Media Availability: Boston Police Harbormaster to Discuss Safety Issues and Precautions around Boston Harbor in anticipation of Tropical Storm Sandy

WHO: Boston Police Harbormaster Sgt. Joe Cheevers and Superintendent William Evans

WHAT: In anticipation of Tropical Storm Sandy, Sgt. Cheevers will discuss and address safety issues and precautions around Boston Harbor as they relate to boat owners with boats presently moored or anchored in and around harbor. In addition to the safety measures taken on the water, Superintendent Evans will be discussing public safety plans and preparations being made as they relate to the rest of the city.

WHERE: Boston Police Harbor Unit located at Drydock Ave near the intersection of Summer Street and Drydock Ave in South Boston.

WHEN: Today, Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 4:00pm
