If He Hadn’t Passed Out in Front of His Hotel Room Door – He May Have Gotten Away with It

Not Actual Suspect

At about 8:00pm, on Sunday, October 14, 2012, officers from District A-1 (Downtown) responded to a call for a male damaging and vandalizing cars in the area of 155 Portland Street. On arrival, officers spoke to a witness who stated that he observed the suspect kicking cars as the suspect staggered along Portland Street. The witness further stated that he observed the suspect enter the Onyx Hotel located at 155 Portland Street. According to another witness, the suspect was seen entering an elevator which transported the suspect to the 4th floor. Upon entering the hotel, officers made their way to the 4th floor. Once on the 4th floor, officers located a white male sleeping or passed out in front of Room 407. The individual passed out in front of the door matched the description of the suspect.

Officers arrested Bill Ellery, 33, of New Hampshire and charged him with the Willful & Malicious Destruction of Property.
