Boston Police Arrest Male Suspect in Domestic Violence Related Stabbing
At about 9:14pm, on Sunday, October 7, 2012, officers from District A-1 (Downtown/ Charlestown) responded to a radio call for person stabbed at 73 Oreilly Way, Charlestown.
On arrival, officers observed emergency medical technicians treating the 24 year old male victim, who was suffering from what appeared to be a stab wound. The victim was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital for his injuries.
A preliminary investigation indicates the victim and the suspect were known to one another and that this was a domestic incident.
At this time, officers placed suspect, Israel Gerena, 58, of Charlestown, under arrest for Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
