Police Arrest Landscaper for Poisioning Dogs in Charlestown
On Friday, September 21, 2012, District A-1 Detectives arrested Kenneth Hyland, 53, of Everett and charged him with Poisoning Animals (dogs).
Earlier in the week, on Tuesday, September 18, 2012, police received reports from witnesses in the area who told officers that they observed Hyland, a landscaper, spreading cut up pieces of hot dogs on the lawn of 550 Medford Street in Charlestown. Witnesses told police that Hyland, while cutting the lawn, had hot dogs soaking in what appeared to be a five gallon bucket of a blue/green solution believed to be anti-freeze. Hyland was then seen spreading the pieces of hot dog onto the lawn.
Hyland will be arraigned in Charlestown District Court on Monday, September 24, 2012.
