Death Investigation in the area of 57 Wheatland Ave in Dorchester

At about 6:40pm, on Monday, September 10, 2012, officers from District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to an outside scene for a person shot in the area of 57 Wheatland Ave in Dorchester. On arrival, officers located a 19 year-old male victim suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the Boston Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased.

The Boston Police Homicide Unit is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Homicide Unit at (617) 343-4470.
