Boston Police Investigate Early Morning Stabbing in Brighton
At about 2:22am, on Saturday, September, 8, 2012, officers from District D-14 (Brighton) observed a physical altercation in the area of 170 Brighton Avenue.
Officers observed two individuals being detained by security personnel from a nearby bar (Tavern in the Square). No weapon was found and no arrests were made.
While officers were gathering information, they were directed to a person stabbed outside of 160 Brighton Avenue.
The 23 year old, male victim appeared to be suffering a stab wound to the chest area. The victim was transported to Beth Israel Hospital with life threatening injuries.
Officers attempted to speak with a group of witnesses who were with the victim, but were faced with a belligerent and disrespectful group.
