Boston Police Investigate Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident in the area of 490 Walnut Avenue in Jamaica Plain

At about 9:36am, on Monday, August 20, 2012, officers from District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) responded to a call for an accident involving a motorcyclist and an MBTA van in the area of 490 Walnut Avenue. On arrival, officers observed a male victim, suffering from life threatening injuries being treated by emergency medical technicians along with firefighters. The male was pronounced on the scene.

Detectives assigned to the Boston Police Department’s Accident Reconstruction Team and Transit Police Detectives are currently investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this accident. At present, the cause of the accident is still under investigation and no violations have been issued at this time.
