Boston Police Investigate Afternoon Stabbing on the Riverway
At about 12:24pm, on July 22nd, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a person stabbed at Longwood Avenue and the Riverway.
On arrival, officers located the 49 year old, male victim, who stated he was sitting on the logs listening to music and feeding the ducks when he was approached by the suspect. The victim stated the suspect demanded his iPhone and stated, “Give me your money and phone.”
The victim stated he refused to give the suspect his belongings and the suspect stabbed him with a small knife.
The victim was transported to Brigham and Women’s Hospital for his non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect is described as a white male, in his 30s, and medium build.
The Boston Police Department is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is asked to call District B-2 detectives at (617) 343-4275.
