Boston Police Investigate Unarmed Robbery in Chinatown
At about 2:40pm, on Wednesday, June 27, 2012, officers from District A-1 (Downtown) responded to a radio call for a robbery in progress at the intersection of Beach Street and Surface Road.
On arrival, officer spoke with the 60 year old, female victim, who stated she walking in the area of Beach Street and Surface Road and she was approached by the suspect. The victim stated to officers the suspect forcibly took her necklace from her neck and fled the area.
Officers observed abrasions on the victim neck and she declined medical assistance.
Officers canvased the area for the suspect and to no avail.
The suspect is described as an Asian male in his late 20s.
