Loud Party and an Even Louder Mouth Lands One Behind Bars for Disturbing the Peace

Don't Let the Music Take Control

At about 4:45am, on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, officers from Area D-4 (South End) responded to a radio call for a loud party at 180 Brookline Ave. On arrival, officers spoke with security personnel who stated that they had received several noise complaints for an apartment in the building. According to security personnel, despite repeated warnings to turn the music down, all warnings were ignored. Upon approaching the apartment, officers could quickly hear loud screaming and loud music emanating from the apartment. When officers knocked on the door, an individual opened the door and told the officers to relax. Upon looking inside the apartment, officers observed several bottles of alcoholic beverages strewn about the floor. When officers told the group that the party was over, the same individual who told the officers to relax yelled, “I’m in charge and I’m not going anywhere.”

Officers arrested Phichaya Bhumichitr, 23, of Boston and charged her with Disturbing the Peace.
