Death Investigation at 112 Allston Street in Brighton

On April 19, 2012 at approximately 2:43am, officers from Area D-14 (Brighton) responded to a radio call for a man down at 139 Allston Street in Brighton. On arrival, officers located a male victim receiving medical assistance from the Boston Fire Department. The 24 year-old male victim, suffering from severe trauma, was pronounced at the scene.

Homicide detectives are awaiting the autopsy results to determine the cause and manner of death. The preliminary investigation indicates that the victim was suffering from gunshot wounds. Boston Police are withholding the identification of the victim’s identity pending family notifications.

The Boston Police Homicide Unit is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is asked to call homicide detectives at (617) 343-4470.
