Boston Police Arrest Two for Commonwealth Ave Road Rage Incident
Boston Police arrested 42 year old Nick Miller and 39 year old Rocky Jace in connection with a road rage incident that occurred yesterday on Commonwealth Ave.
On September 13, 2011 at approximately 4:15pm, an officer was approaching 900 Commonwealth Avenue when that officer observed a vehicle driven by suspect Nick Miller with a smashed window drive at a bicyclist. The vehicle struck the bicycle and dragged the bicycle and victim through the red light.
The victim (bicyclist) did sustain bruises and scrapes but declined medical attention. The victim’s bicycle was ruined beyond repair.
Officers then observed a second vehicle parked on the other side of the intersection and suspect, Rocky Jace, exit his car with an iron bar and run through oncoming traffic causing vehicles to swerve. Jace then smashed the windshield of vehicle being driven by Miller
The officer ran toward Jace who dropped the tire iron as the officer approached
Several witnesses informed officers that both suspects had been involved in a “road rage fight”. Witnesses stated suspect Miller smashed the rear and side windows of the vehicle being driven by Jace. Suspect Jace then used a tire iron to smash the windshield of vehicle driven by Miller. Officers then spoke with both suspects who both admitted to using weapons to damage the other’s vehicle. Both suspects also indicated that they know one another “through work”.
Both suspects were placed under arrest and booked at District D-14 (Brighton).
Rocky Jace, 39, of Providence, RI was charged with Assault and Battery by means of a Dangerous Weapon, Driving to Endanger, Malicious Destruction of Property and various motor vehicle violations.
