B&E Suspect Caught with Stolen Goods
Yesterday morning around 11:45AM, officers from District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) responded to the area of 57 Eliot St. for a breaking and entering to a motor vehicle.
As officers arrived on scene, they observed a male carrying black backpack riding away on a bicycle. This individual matched the description of the suspect who had just broken into a nearby car. Officers followed the man on the bicycle based on his likeness to the suspect. As officers followed behind the suspect, they saw the bicyclist drop his backpack in front of 47 Eliot St. and continue to ride away. Officers continued to follow the suspect as he tried to ride away and observed him ride up to 11-13 Newsome Park where he abandoned his bicycle and tried to hide behind the house.
Officers went behind the house and there located the suspect hiding. The suspect was detained while officers further investigated. Officers went back to the scene of the B&E and spoke to witnesses who reported seeing the suspect break a car window, get in the car and steal some items from the car and ride away. Officers recovered the bag that the suspect had discarded while driving away and found a number of items in the bag including some of the items described as being stolen from the car that the suspect broke into.
The suspect, Julio Median, 53 of Boston was then taken back to the scene where he was placed under arrest and charged with Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle and Larceny from a Motor Vehicle.
