Attacking a Taxi Lands One in Police Custody

At about 1:55am, on Saturday, September 3, 2011, officers from Area D-4 (South End) were alerted of a disturbance between a cab driver and an individual refusing to let the cab pull out of a spot in the area of Mass Ave and Boylston Street. On arrival, officers located the suspect still standing in front of the cab. Officers also observed the suspect yelling and screaming at the operator of the cab. According to the cab driver, he had a green light and was attempting to take a turn onto Mass Ave when the suspect jumped in front of his car and refused to let his cab pass. Witnesses say the suspect began hitting the front of the cab and threw a slice of pizza onto the hood of the vehicle. When asked to step out of the street, the suspect refused and began to verbally disparage the officers.

Officers arrested Robert Bragan, 27, of Lynn and charged him with Being Disorderly.
