Death Investigation in the Area of 18 Hosmer Street, Mattapan

This morning around 4:12AM, officers from District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a call for a person shot in the area of 12 Hosmer Street.

On arrival, officers located a black non-Hispanic male in his mid to late twenties in the rear of 18 Hosmer Street suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. EMS responded to the incident and pronounced the victim.

The Boston Police Homicide Unit is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is strongly encouraged to call the Homicide Unit at (617) 343-4470.
