When Asked to Identify Himself, the Suspect Responded, “Bond, James Bond.”

At about 9:42pm, on Thursday July 14, 2011, officers from Area E-18 (Hyde Park) observed a motor vehicle, wanted in connection with an earlier domestic dispute, travelling along Dana Ave. After identifying the motor vehicle, officers activated their emergency equipment (lights & sirens) in an effort to stop the car. With the car stopped, officers approached the operator and asked him to identify himself. When asked to provide his name, the operator stated, “James Bond.”

While talking to Mister Bond, officers were able detect an odor of alcohol originating with the operator. Officers further noted Mister Bond’s eyes were glassy and speech slurred. When asked to exit the car, officers noted that the operator appeared to be unsteady on his feet. When asked to participate in a Field Sobriety Test, the suspect provided consent.

After failing the test, officers arrested James Bond, 42, of Boston and charged him with Operating Under the Influence.
