CORRECTION TO FATAL BICYCLE ACCIDENT

At about 8:10am, on Monday, January 24, 2011, officers from Area D-4 (South End) responded to a radio call for a bicyclist struck in the area of Arlington and Tremont Streets. On arrival, officers located the victim (bicyclist), a 74 year old Asian male (CORRECTION: male victim was previously inaccurately reported to be 34 years old ) suffering from life threatening injuries. The victim was transported to the Boston Medical Center where he was pronounced. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
