POLICE ARREST TWO FOR SHOOTING INCIDENT IN ROXBURY
At about 9:33pm, on Wednesday, December 2, 2009, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a call for a person or persons shot in the area of 9 Albion Street. On arrival, officers observed and located a black male suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the Boston Medical Center where he was treated for his injuries.
Officers promptly broadcast a description of a motor vehicle (a gray Nissan) seen leaving the scene of the crime. In short time, officers observed and stopped the motor vehicle in the area of Fuller Street and Dorchester Ave. While approaching the car, officers observed the passenger exit the car with a firearm in his hand. Officers quickly commanded the suspect to drop the weapon. After the suspect complied, officers took possession of the firearm and arrested Vincent Davis, 18, of Canton and charged him with Assault with Intent to Murder, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm & Ammunition and Discharge of a Firearm within 500 feet of a Dwelling.
In the interim, officers instructed the operator of the car to exit the vehicle. Once outside the car, officers arrested Jesse Deburgo, 18, of Boston and charged him with Operating without a License, Assault with Intent to Murder, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm & Ammunition and Discharge of a Firearm within 500 feet of a Dwelling.
FALLING ASLEEP AT THE WHEEL LANDS ONE IN CUSTODY FOR O-U-I
At about 3:27am, on Thursday, December 3, 2009, officers from Area D-4 (South End) were on patrol when they observed a motor vehicle, still running, parked awkwardly in the area of Stuart & and Berkeley Streets. Upon approaching the car, officers knocked on the window in an effort to get the operator’s attention, however, the operator did not respond. Upon opening the driver’s side door, officers promptly shut the car off and noted that the operator appeared to be passed out. Additionally, officers were able to detect an odor of alcohol inside the car. When the operator awoke, officers asked the suspect consent to a field sobriety test.
After the suspect failed the test, officers arrested Brett Boncem, 36, of Boston and charged him with Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol.
POLICE ARREST TWO BREAKING INTO CARS
At about 4:40am, on Friday, December 4, 2009, officers from Area C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for two black males attempting to gain entry or break into several parked cars in the area of Raven Street. While en route to the call, officers learned, via the police dispatcher, that one of the suspects was wearing a light-colored jacket and hat while the other was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt. In short time, officers observed two individuals who matched the description of the suspects. Officers escorted both suspects back to the scene of the crime for identification purposes. Once on scene, witnesses were able to positively identify the suspects.
Officers arrested Jermole Auguste, 18, of Boston and Jermaine Auguste, 18, of Boston and charged both with Breaking & Entering Motor Motor Vehicles.

18 Year-Old Charged After Attempting to Purchase Alcohol with Fake ID
On Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at approximately 10:44pm, Boston Police Officers, assigned out of Area E-18 (West Roxbury), responded to 175 Wolcott Square (Richard’s Wine & Spirits) for a report of a disturbance.
Officers arrived on-scene and spoke with the clerk who informed them that a young male attempted to purchase alcohol with a fraudulent identification card. The clerk examined the card and became suspicious of it. The male was then asked to spell his last name, to which he could not do. The individual became nervous and fled the store leaving his wallet on the counter. Shortly thereafter, the suspect returned in order to retrieve his wallet. The suspect threatened the clerk several times attempting to get his wallet back. The suspect again fled the store prior to the arrival of the officers.
Officers learned of the suspect’s true identity from his license that was located within his wallet. Officers were informed by a witness that the suspect was traveling in a motor vehicle on Hyde Park Avenue towards Meigs Field. The vehicle was stopped and the operator was identified as the person who attempted to purchase the alcohol.
Officers summonsed Robert Bunszell, 18, of West Roxbury on the charges of Possession of a False Identification Card and Underage Person Attempting to Purchase Alcohol.
DAILY INCIDENTS FOR THURSDAY, DECEMBER 3, 2009
Southie Residents Chase Down Armed Robbers
On Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at approximately 8:55pm, Boston Police Officers, assigned out of Area C-6 (South Boston), were called to the area of East 2nd Street for a report of an armed robbery. Responding officers learned that the two black male suspects were currently being chased by area residents.
Officers arrived in the area and located a female victim who stated she was walking on East Broadway when she was approached by two black males from behind. One of the black males took hold of her purse and attempted to pull it off her shoulder. The victim initially refused to let go and began to scream. The two struggled and the suspect stated, “Let go or I’ll cut you.” The victim informed officers that she observed the suspect to be holding a large knife in his hand while he made the threat. The suspect was able to gain control of the victim’s purse and the two suspects fled towards L Street.
Two area residents heard the woman’s screams for help and observed the two suspects fleeing. They pursued the fleeing suspects and were able to apprehend one of them on East 3rd Street. Officers then obtained and broadcast a description of the second suspect to other BPD units. Shortly thereafter, a BPD Officer working a detail at the South Bay Mall, observed an individual fitting the description of the second suspect. The suspect was stopped and detained. The officer found a large knife in his possession. The victim was able to positively identify both suspects as the individuals who robbed her.
Officers arrested Kevin Stichel, 20, of Dorchester and a 13 year-old male from Roxbury on the charges of Armed Robbery.
