HOMICIDE VICTIM FROM WALNUT AVENUE AND TOWNSEND STREET IDENTIFIED

At about 6:45pm, on Wednesday, July 11, 2007 officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a person shot near the intersection of Walnut Avenue and Townsend Street in Dorchester. The victim, now identified as Manny Montissol, 19, of Mattapan, was transported to Boston Medical Center and later succumbed to his injuries.

Boston Police are actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is strongly urged to contact the Homicide Unit at (617) 343-4470.
