CAR SEAT SAFETY: Kids Deserve a Safe Ride

WHO: The Boston Police Department, The Executive Office of Public Safety -Governors Highway Safety Bureau, Boston Public Health Commission -Childhood Injury Prevention Program and Greater Boston Safe Kids Coalition.

WHAT: The Boston Police Department will be conducting a car seat safety check on Saturday July 21, 2007. The BPD will have trained technicians on hand that will inspect car seats for installation. They will also offer expert advice and direction on recalled, expired and unsafe car seats.

The overall goal of the program is to promote the safe application of the child car seats and ensure that car seats meet safety standards. Community members are invited to come by for a car seat safety inspection.
