Boston Police Officer Shot One Person In Custody

At approximately 9:50pm, a Boston Police Officer assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force was shot while investigating suspicious activity near the John Marshall School on Westville Street in Dorchester. The officer was taken to Boston Medical Center where his injury has been listed as serious but non-life threatening. A Massachusetts State Trooper assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force returned fire and a suspect was shot at the scene. The suspect was transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital and is listed in serious condition. The Boston Police Firearm Discharge Investigation Team and Massachusetts State Police are investigating the incident.
