Off Duty Officer Observed Suspect Fire Off One Shot

At 1:53am, officers in District 2 responded to a radio call for a man with a firearm in the rear of 203 Blue Hill Avenue. Officers were informed by an off duty officer that he observed the suspect fire off one round from a silver firearm in the rear parking lot of Packy’s. Once on scene officers were able to locate the suspect based on the information that was given by the off duty officer. Herman Fields, 28, of Roxbury was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Firearm Discharged within 500ft of a Dwelling. Officers did recover a firearm from the suspect. Ballistic evidence was also recovered at the scene.

Person Stabbed in Roxbury

This morning around 2:10am, officers in District 2 responded to a radio call for a person stabbed at Dudley and Kenilworth Streets. On arrival officers located a female victim suffering from a stab wound to the abdomen area. The victim was transported to Boston Medical Center and is serious conditions.

Person Shot in Dorchester

This morning around 5:12am, officers in District 3 responded to a radio call for a person shot outside of 59 Edson Street. On arrival officers located the victim, a black male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to both legs. The victim was transported to Boston Medical Center and treated for non-life threatening injury.
