Boston Murder Suspect Arrested in Florida

Earlier today, members from U.S. Marshall’s Office and Tallahassee Police Department arrested Michael Scott, 31, of Hyde Park in Tallahassee, Florida on a Boston warrant for the murder of James Green. Scott’s arrest warrant was applied for and issued as a result of the investigative efforts conducted by the Boston Police Homicide Unit.

On June 12, 2006 at approximately 8:52pm, officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force observed a male on Washington Street near Melville Avenue in Dorchester suffering from a stab wound. The victim, James Green, 28, of Dorchester, was treated and transported to the Boston Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Scott will be arraigned in a Florida Court and charged as a Fugitive from Justice.
