Police Leaders Convene in Boston to Discuss Violent Crime

Boston Metro reports on Yesterday’s PERF Town Hall meeting

“Yesterday, (Acting Boston Police Commissioner) Goslin joined local law enforcement officials from across the country — including William Bratton, a Hub native who led both the Boston and MBTA police, and now commands the LAPD — here to discuss the rise in violent crime throughout the county. The meeting coincided with the Police Executive Research Forum (PERF) releasing a report that, among other things, notes that FBI statistics show the largest single-year percent increase in violent crime nationwide in 14 years.”
